KENYA AND TANZANIA COMBINE SAFARI



Safari Highlights!
Witness wildlife-rich Kenya and Tanzania on game drives through East Africa's wildlife-populated parks and reserves, watching the “Big Five” animals through the Masai Mara and Serengeti eco-system, Ngorongoro Crater, man's origins at Olduvai Gorge and by extension Zanzibar beach holiday & stone town.



SAFARI ITINERARY.
Day 1: Arrival at JKIA Nairobi
Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport Nairobi, we will meet you and transfer to PanAfric hotel/or similar booked on bed & breakfast. Optional day excursion available on request.
Day 2:  Nairobi – Amboseli - 265 Km/ 2 ½ hrs
07:30 hrs depart after breakfast and drives for Amboseli National Park to arrive in good time for lunch and afternoon game-drive. Late afternoon/and early evening game drive until sunset with a perfect view of Africa's highest mountain, Kilimanjaro in the backdrop. Dinner and overnight at Amboseli camp.

Day 3: Amboseli Full Day
After a leisurely breakfast, we explore the park through morning and afternoon game drives. We have sufficient time in the park with a complete majestic Mount Kilimanjaro in the background.
Amboseli National park is one of the most popular wildlife sanctuaries in Kenya. It is situated close to Kenya- Tanzania border, The Park lies at the foot of Mt. Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa (5,896m) whose snow-capped summit presents a splendid view on clear days. The park is often referred to as “The home of Elephants’ some of the largest Elephant herds are found here. The Game Park also contains vast groups of Zebras, Wildebeests, Giraffes, Buffalos, Hippos and Antelopes. Also to be found in Amboseli are lions, leopards, Cheetahs, Rhinos and many species of plain game

Day 4: Amboseli park – Namanga Border – Lake Manyara Park (Tanzania)
Morning breakfast and en-route game drive. Then depart for Namanga border for immigration formalities, then proceed to Lake Manyara, lunch on the way, dinner and overnight at Lake Manyara hotel or camp
Lake Manyara is a scenic gem, with a setting extolled by Ernest Hemingway as “the loveliest I had seen in Africa”. The compact game-viewing circuit through Manyara offers a virtual microcosm of the Tanzanian safari experience. Inland of the floodplain, a narrow belt of acacia woodland is the favored haunt of Manyara’s legendary tree-climbing lions and impressively tusked elephants, large buffalo, wildebeest and zebra herds congregate on these grassy plains.

Day 5: Lake Manyara Park - Ngorongoro Crater | Wildlife Abound
After breakfast, depart for a morning game drive in Lake Manyara in search of baboons; dik-dik, which forage for food beneath acacia trees; and large herds of buffalo, wildebeests and zebras. Along a narrow belt of acacia woodland, you may even spot tree-climbing lions, which ascend tree-branches for a cool breeze. You may also take a leisurely walk along a nature trail. 

After a farm-fresh lunch, continue to the Ngorongoro Crater, ascending its outer wall through dense vegetation. Spend the day winding your way through the magnificent landscape, one of the most inspiring outdoor arenas in all of Africa. Ngorongoro Crater is the largest unbroken ancient caldera in the world, about 20kms across, 600 meters deep and 300 sq kms in area, the Ngorongoro Crater is a breathtaking natural wonder and a place to view cape buffaloes, lions, elephants, hyenas, wildebeests and other plain games in abundance. Dinner and overnight at or camp.

Days 6: Ngorongoro Crater | Serengeti Park | Natural Wonder
Wake to explore this “Lost World” of animals; an ideal spot to see buffalos and elephants. Bird lovers can view flamingos and countless other species. Among mammals, there’s also the chance to see the rare and elusive black rhinoceros. Drive out from the crater for lunch then proceed to Serengeti National Park.

Drive to vast, wildlife-rich Serengeti National Park, stopping en route for a privately guided tour of Olduvai Gorge, where ancient fossils offer insight into humankind. Proceed to Serengeti Park arriving late evening. An en-route game drive to your lodge, which is framed by commanding views of this land of lions, leopards, hyenas, cheetahs, giraffes and topi. Dinner and overnight at camp.

Day 7: Serengeti Full Day | Vistas and breathtaking views
Spend your day in true safari country, searching for the “Big Five” (lions, leopards, Cape buffalo, elephants and rhinos), along with giraffes, gazelles zebras and other plain games in abundance.

Day 8: Serengeti Park – Zanzibar

After breakfast, morning game drive en-route, lunch on the way then proceed to Airport for Zanzibar.

Days 9-11: Zanzibar Beach Holiday at Leisure.
Zanzibar is one of East Africa’s oldest towns with early oceanic trade and political history. Old town buildings still stand to date to remind you of the rich cultural history of this famous Island.
Relax and enjoy the endless beaches of Zanzibar whilst staying in your beach side hotel. Take a tour to clove plantations with local guide who will tell you more about the people of Zanzibar. 
There are a wide range of water sport activities you can participate in, such as snorkeling, scuba diving, boat trips and many more. Breakfast and Dinner are included.

Day 12: Zanzibar – Nairobi
Last day here in Zanzibar. After breakfast and lunch, you will be transferred to the Zanzibar Airstrip for your onward flight to Nairobi arriving in the evening.
We will meet you on arrival and proceed to Carnivore Restaurant for a farewell dinner and then to 680 hotel for an overnight stay. Meals: BLD.

Day 13: Nairobi – Lake Bogoria & Lake Baringo/Kenya
After breakfast, pick up from your hotel at 07:30-hrs and drive via the Great Rift Valley dotted with its string of lakes and this makes a great introduction to the natural beauty and culture of the region. Arrive at Lake Bogoria in good time for lunch. The spectacular Lake Bogoria hot springs, geysers and nature walks are the main attractions here. The lake has been called ‘‘the new home of the flamingoes’’ with population of up to two million. For the bird enthusiasts, Kesubo swamp located north of the park is home to more than 200 species of birds. Dinner and overnight at Lake Baringo camp.

Day 14: Lake Baringo Club - Lake Naivasha | Freshwater Lake & The Crescent Island
After breakfast 07:00am, proceed for a boat-ride in the lake for to see hippos, crocodiles and the local fishermen does what they know best ‘‘fishing’…
Lake Baringo is one of the small Rift Valley Lakes creased with papyrus and acacia forest. Hippos, crocodiles and monitor lizards are effortlessly seen from the shore, here is a magnificent display of water birds with over 1200 different bird species.
Depart for Lake Naivasha and arrive at Lake Naivasha for early lunch. Decide to relax at the poolside after a long-drive, or visit the Crescent Island this evening. Lake Naivasha is one of the longest and beautiful among all the Great Rift Valley lakes fringed by thick papyrus reeds with great array of bird life to its shoreline. Buffalo wallow in the swamps, whilst the large hippo population laze their days in the shallows. Giraffe wander among the acacia, whilst the Colobus monkeys swing from the green canopies above.
Dinner and overnight at Lake Naivasha hotel.       
Day 15: Lake Naivasha to Masai Mara Game Reserve/Kenya
After breakfast, morning at leisure, or tour the Geothermal Power plant or Elsmere visits (optional extras). Back to the lodge for lunch and tour Hells Gate National Park this afternoon or the following day before your departure to Masai Mara (included in the package). After Hells Gate tour, descend the Great Rift Valley floor, we reach arguably Kenya’s most celebrated natural attraction-The Masai Mara Game Reserve. A 1,500 sq-km slab of open Savannah dotted with acacia trees-the Kenyan section of the wildly beautiful Serengeti plains, teems with wildlife. Being in the Mara has been described by some authorities as ‘’ being in the New York of the natural world’’. You will spend the next 02 nights here to explore and realize your dream come-true. Dinner and overnight at camp.

Day 16: Explore the MAGIC of Masai Mara Full Day
Spend this magnificent day watching the drama unfolded of virtually every type of animals to be found here. Listen for the roars of mighty manned lions; they can be heard from five miles away. You will see cheetahs and lioness hunting across the plains, and rhinos lumbering along. With a little luck, you might notice leopards trying to stay out of sight, biding their time until nightfall. Meanwhile, discover abundant birdlife and learn to identify bird calls, bills, tracks, and their habitats. At night, you’ll watch a display of traditional Maasai song and dance. End your stay in the Mara with a farewell dinner and say goodbye to your new friends. Dinner and overnight at Mara camp. 
Day 17: DEPARTURE HOME:
Pre-breakfast sun-rise game viewing-drive from 06:30am - 9:30am to see leopard, cheater and other cuts hunting. This is the best time for spotting the cats’ animal when making a kill at sun-rise. Back to the camp/lodge for your-full breakfast, and then depart for Nairobi. Last game drives en-route to Nairobi, lunch on the way; continue to Nairobi Airport where you’ll arrive between 1500Hrs and 1600hrs.
